<p>Shampoo is definitely one
of the most important hair products and probably the most universal. Although
it may seem that this is just one of those routine, every day, or every other
day steps, choosing the right shampoo is a crucial factor for your hair.</p>

<p>There’s a common opinion
that the only role of a shampoo is cleansing, but a quality shampoo can do so
much more than that. Improving the state of scalp and calming it, refreshing
your colour, removing brassy tones from your blonde hair &#8211; these are just some
of the wonders shampoos can do. This means you can refresh your hair colour and
improve it between salon visits. Intrigued? Read on and let us tell you how
silver (and blue) shampoo will be your saviour!</p>

<p>These shampoos are definitely the most popular colour correcting choices. Blondes know so well how yellow and brassy can be annoying. We bet that if blondes could get one wish from a genie granted, it would be to rid themselves of brassy tones forever!</p>

<figure class="wp-block-image"><img fetchpriority="high" decoding="async" width="1024" height="684" src="http://korehairdressing.com/wp-content/uploads/2019/02/adult-blonde-female-973401-1024x684.jpg" alt="" class="wp-image-4301" srcset="https://korehairdressing.com/wp-content/uploads/2019/02/adult-blonde-female-973401-1024x684.jpg 1024w, https://korehairdressing.com/wp-content/uploads/2019/02/adult-blonde-female-973401-300x200.jpg 300w, https://korehairdressing.com/wp-content/uploads/2019/02/adult-blonde-female-973401-768x513.jpg 768w, https://korehairdressing.com/wp-content/uploads/2019/02/adult-blonde-female-973401-1080x721.jpg 1080w" sizes="(max-width: 1024px) 100vw, 1024px" /></figure>

<p>Brunettes, on the other hand, have a different problem &#8211; their hair gets warm, orange hues after a few washes. Luckily, there are solutions for both of these problems &#8211; silver and blue shampoos. Silver shampoos are probably more known and hence &#8211; popular, but both of these get the work done.</p>

<p>Silver shampoos are
usually very pigmented and have a dark purple tone, while blue shampoos, as
their name says, are blue. The purple tones of silver shampoos neutralise
unwanted brassy tones and return the silver tone to the hair. Blue work on the
same principle and remove orange tones from brunette hair. </p>

<p>However, there is a
downside. These shampoos can have a drying effect on your hair, so be sure to
pair these products with strong moisturising masks. Also, you should keep in
mind the washing procedure, as it’s different than with the regular shampoos.
These products are used as masks, so you should use another, mild shampoo for
cleaning purposes beforehand.</p>

<p>There are other colour correcting
options, like conditioners and masks. They can be a good choice for dry hair,
as they contain moisturising ingredients instead of clarifying ones. Other hair
colours can benefit from colour correcting products. There are many products
that are aimed for copper or bright red hair. </p>

<p>Of course, we’re always on
hand to give you a colour top up! Book <a href="http://korehairdressing.com/book-now/">online</a> or give us a call on
